Volunteer OpportunitiesSalvemos al Rio Laja is seeking volunteers to help with grant writing, fundraising events, photographing projects, public relations, translations, and documentation of the watershed. Volunteer projects are flexible based on the individual's interests and time. Updated August 2005:Field Work – Help document the watershedMeasure the conditions and erosion along the river. Install PVC tubes to measure water levels. Survey and identify plants, birds, and wildlife throughout the watershed. Collect aquatic plants to propagate in El Charco Del Ingenio Community Work – Meet and support communities in the watershedHelp set up workshops led by Salvemos al Rio Laja in rural communities. Help document the oral history of a community. Help document the socio-economic conditions of communities in the watershed. TranslationTranslate materials from Spanish to English.
